Job summary in a nutshell:

The key purpose of this role is to provide advice and excellent service to new and existing clients, negotiating with them and the insurance marketplace to ensure the product(s) sold to them meet(s) their requirements at a competitive premium.

To retain clients and seek to cross sell any additional cover or gaps in existing cover by regularly reviewing products available and current client needs. To ensure that cover continually meets clients’ requirements by conducting regular reviews of their needs. To provide a prompt and accurate service regarding any mid-term alterations requested by the client. To provide claims guidance and advice where appropriate

Day-to-day tasks and responsibilities include:

Achieve the individual growth and client retention targets set by the business.

Working closely with all Client Service Executives, responding to requests for new business quotations, obtaining all relevant information, sourcing quotes from the market and converting new business to achieve sales targets.

To generate new business following leads sourced by yourself and also provided by colleagues, other clients, introducers etc

To look at opportunities to generate new business and grow the commercial account wherever possible

To visit clients’ premises to acquire or retain business, including presentations to the client, as required

Provide clients with excellent service; maximise retention of existing business

Establish and maintain trusted relationships with clients and provide them with professional advice relating to their insurance needs

Develop relationships with partner Insurers which will assist in the retention and growth of our business

Ensure all records are accurately set up and transferred onto the computer system and correct documents are issued to clients

Ensure accounts transactions are raised quickly and accurately and that client debts are chased promptly.

Maintain knowledge of current market conditions and share information with colleagues

Provide support and guidance to colleagues requiring your help, identifying training needs and assisting colleagues in arranging and advising on classes of business where you are more experienced.

Adhere to FCA Regulation at all times

Adhere to specific Company Policies and Procedures at all time

To undertake additional duties as may be assigned from time to time

What qualities do you need for the job?

Cert CII qualified

Previous experience of dealing with clients in the Corporate arena

Adaptive and willing to take on an existing book of business

You would describe yourself as positive, dynamic and show an appetite and willingness to provide an unrivalled level of customer service

Experience in an insurer/broker environment is an advantage
